Dog Refuses To Leave Trapped Friend’s Side Until Help Arrives

Dogs are known for being loyal and smart, and this is proved in many stories. And for people who still have any doubts regarding their loyalty, the tale of love between two pets below will prove, once again how awesome dogs are.

Tillie the Irish setter-spaniel mix and Phoebe the basset hound had been out for a walk together on Vashon Island, Washington. Unfortunately, they went missing and didn’t return. Their owner contacted Vashon Island Pet Protectors to ask for help. VIPP volunteers prefaced the following dog rescue with a lost dog notice on Facebook.

After a week of searching, they received a call from a person who noticed a reddish dog on his property. He told that “for the past few days a ‘reddish’ dog had been coming up to them when they were out on their property and then promptly heading back into a ravine.” The volunteers decided to go check it out with the hope that they could find the two dogs.

Fortunately, the team found the two animals. Phobe got trapped into a cistern deep in a remote ravine and was able to get out. However, Tillie refused to leave her side, until humans came to rescue her. They quickly discovered that Tillie tried to find some helps during all that time.

“When I got there and looked down, Tillie saw me but didn’t come running up,” Carey, one of the volunteers said. “She just stayed near the edge of this cistern, pressed with her head as close as she could get. Had she run up, we might have never realized that Phoebe was down there. She just stayed put, making it so clear that I had to come to her so I would see her friend.”

Despite missing for a week, the dogs were both in good health. They were reunited with their owner who couldn’t hide her happiness when saw them!

Tillie’s loyalty and compassion for her friend melted everyone’s heart. It is just so touching. Do you agree with us? Let us know your thoughts in the comment!

He had joined the Marine Corps when he was just 18, and he had seen the worst of humanity while being deployed in a violent province in Afghanistan.

Peter had lost his war comrades and his loyal bomb-detecting dog to an IED blast. The ex-soldier desperately tried to move on with his life, but his heart was scarred permanently. Peter’s family was very worried seeing him struggling with depression and PTSD for the past 3 years.

Thankfully, Peter’s mom, Dena, knew just the right thing that would help her boy cope with his demons. She remembered that Peter had a Beagle companion while growing up but the dog had died while he was away at war. So she decided to get him a Beagle puppy before Christmas, and surprise him with a gift-wrapped pre-Christmas puppy-present!

In this heartwarming video, we see Peter’s overwhelming reaction when he sees the puppy for the first time. He breaks down in tears and embraces the puppy while the puppy showers him with kisses. He also went on to say, ‘there are occasionally bears in the area but they are usually not a problem, this one just had developed some bad habits.

The owl landed right in front of it and began to curiously peer directly into the KRTV Eyecam weather camera.

“The KRTV Great Falls Eyecam — perched atop the U.S. Bank building downtown — is usually used to check on weather conditions in our community,” wrote the station in an article.

“Sometimes, however, the camera catches something a bit unusual – sometimes a spider or moth, or occasionally a bird.

“And early on Wednesday […], it was something even a bit more rare — an owl!”

Brave Mother Dog Carries 13 Pups To A Hiding Spot Despite Her Injured Leg

This is the touching story of a mother kitten who saves her entire litter of pups from a burning building, despite having a broken leg.

Stray Rescue of St.Louis Official

She was found by volunteers from the Stray Rescue of St. Louis who spotted her limping out of a dense bushy area by a highway.

They jumped into action to try and help the injured pup but soon noticed that she had milk, indicating there may be little ones close by.

So they inspected the dense bush and went looking for the mother brood of puppies, it wasn’t long before they were found.

They stumbled across a little den housing thirteen adorable young pups.

It looks like the injured mother somehow dragged the pups, one by one through the bush into this little homemade den.

The volunteers placed each pup into a box to take back to the shelter and be reunited with its mother.

The mom was waiting to undergo surgery to treat her leg, while her pups will be checked by the vet and prepared for adoption.

It really goes to show that a mother will do whatever is needed to take care of her children, and dogs are no different!

Moose And Her Calves Spend Whole Day In Family’s Backyard – Man Documents it (36 Pics)

One day, Ryan Ryndstrom from Anchorage, Alaska noticed some uninvited guests in his backyard.

It was a mama moose and her two calves.

Turns out the mama likes the grass so much, they spent the whole day there, and Ryan decided to document it.

The youths ‘taste-tested’ absolutely everything, from the gates to the chairs, once they decided it was all safe, they cuddled up with each other and had a nap.

At one point, their mum even provided the kids with some lunch.

They spent the entire day in his backyard, from around 9am to 7pm.

Thankfully, Ryan documented the entire family trip with photographs and uploaded them on the internet for us all to see!

In an interview with Bored Panda, Ryan spoke about his experience:

“I took the pictures of the moose with Flat Stanley, and took a few without him and went to work. I really expected that the moose would walk away at some point but every time I looked up from my work, they were still there,”

“I could watch directly them from my work spot. It was a great distraction and a fun way to spend the day while I was editing concert footage for my job with the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra.”

“Throughout the day, as the moose changed lounging spots or walked away and came back, I’d go back to the window or the open door (the screen door was still closed), to take more pictures of them. They were oblivious to me most of the time (although their ears were up most of the time, so obviously they were alert).”

“They took two quick trips through the neighborhood, but quickly returned to their spots in our backyard.”

“Most of the time, as you can see from the pictures, they really were just lounging here. A neighbor reported that she’d observed this same moose family running along the road a few miles from our neighborhood earlier that morning.”

“If I’d taken videos early in the morning, you’d have noticed that the mama, in particular, was breathing very heavily. They needed rest, and I think they felt safe to rest here in our backyard.”

“Note the smile on its face as it knocks over this pot. Sociopath.”

“And just like that, the marigold is knocked over and that baby pretends it didn’t have a thing to do with it…”

“The calves spent a lot of time lounging together. It was cute seeing them lying together and moving with the sun throughout the day”

“As the moose family left and returned to the backyard, they’d nibble on plants, or in the case of the calves — the patio furniture and decorations in our’s and our neighbors’ backyard — just like a baby, putting everything in their mouth.”

“In fact, our neighbor started turning her decorative patio lights off and on to try to scare the baby who kept trying to eat a light bulb because she was afraid the glass would break in its mouth.”

“The mama loves eating our yellow begonias and the neighbor’s orange begonias; she also loves the leaves on the trees, the astilbe, bleeding hearts (they’ve bloomed and I’m lucky she didn’t eat them that day), and the orange blossom bush’s leaves.”

“Another cow and her calves came running through the backyard near the end of the day. I could hear them running this way, but I was unable to get a video of them through this lounging moose family. “

“The mama and her babies in my pictures jumped up and quickly ran after them. So there were two cows with four calves running through the backyards. It was a lot of action that I was just relaying to one of my friends over the phone.”

Photographers managed to capture some adorable photos of the baby zebra in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve.

This is the first known case of a zebra with a polka dot appearance like this in the mara Reserve.

The baby is part of a critically endangered species

Here’s some cute news to brighten your day: The Toronto Zoo has just welcomed a baby orangutan to the family, and the video will warm your heart.

The male baby was born on Friday, April 8 and is the second offspring for 29-year-old mother Sekali. They are Sumatran orangutans, which is a critically endangered species. According to a press release, the birth went “smoothly,” and the mother’s “maternal instincts kicked in right away.”

An adorable video posted to the Zoo’s YouTube account shows Sekali snuggling her newborn and cleaning him shortly after birth. She even brought him up to the zookeepers so that they could do a visual check on the little critter.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome this new addition to the Toronto Zoo family,” said Dolf DeJong, CEO of the Toronto Zoo. “Sumatran orangutans are under increasing pressure in the wild due to habitat loss and the palm oil crisis, which we are working with partners to address. We are proud to play an important role in the conservation of this amazing species.”

Sekali’s pregnancy lasted 243 days (about eight months), which is typical for a Sumatran orangutan. She even took part in some training during her pregnancy so she would be prepared for her little one, and it included things like using a plastic cylinder as a substitute baby for practice.

The baby comes just in time for the zoo’s new outdoor orangutan habitat, which is set to open later this year. In the new habitat, the orangutans will be able to climb on special overhead lines and enjoy more activities in their day-to-day lives.

The newborn has yet to be named, so keep an eye on the zoo’s social media for updates.
