Dogs are animals that have been with us for years, and being domesticated was the key to becoming what they are today. They can learn and be trained for a large number of activities that can significantly help Human beings. 

This is the case of an adorable service dog, as he is an excellent laboratory assistant at the University of Illinois in the United States.

His name is Sampson and he is a Golden Retriever, he is a very intelligent service dog who helps his human mom Joey Ramp. When his case was revealed, the entire internet was shocked to see his protective gear that was specially designed for him.

Sampson learned to wear this protective gear in order to stay by her owner’s side during her day in the lab, Joey is a neuroscientist who suffered several head injuries in a terrible horse riding accident (Horse riding is the sport and horse riding practice).

After recovering, Joey went back to college, and since then Sampson has been with her everywhere, should she need assistance during a seizure or stress attack.

This Golden Retriever is the first dog to have access to a laboratory at the University of Illinois, United States.

His protective gear includes a gown designed just for him, dog boots, and cute goggles.

In 2006 when Joey was in the accident, he suffered severe damage to his prefrontal cortex and permanent damage to the left side of his body, plus the fall left him with 23 broken bones.

Joey comments, ” If I drop something in the lab, Sampson comes to my side and I can use him as a prop to kneel down and pick up what I need. I couldn’t handle academics or a neuroscience program without his help.”

Joey Ramp has been fighting for years to get service dogs into labs. Thanks to this Sampson can be with his girlfriend, the only requirement is to use the full security equipment, just like that of humans.

In addition to wearing that beautiful scientist outfit, the Golden Retriever has learned to lie on his special mattress for several hours, and as Joey mentioned earlier he can fetch and carry some items.

“People with disabilities want to learn science, and if they can do it with the help of service dogs and feel protected, everything should be available. This is important and it’s time to start.” Joey Ramp commented.

You may think that a blind dog cannot have a comfortable life , but the truth is that a dog with this disability can have a completely normal life.

Unlike us humans, a blind dog can adapt its other senses in order to survive.

Next, we present the story of Opal, a dog who was born blind and deaf , and despite having both disabilities, she has a very happy life next to her owners.

An animal shelter that cares for dogs with certain special needs had Opal, an Australian Shepherd, and they were worried that no one would want to adopt her.

Then  Christina Bray and her husband Forrest Hutchings appeared, they decided to adopt her after seeing her photos and videos on social networks. They immediately fell in love with her.

Opal’s parents recently posted a video on her instagram account, where she can be seen receiving her father. Despite her condition, Opal has uprooted her nose from her to the point of knowing who owns her, she even senses them long before they arrive at her house.

Christina Bray comments:  “Opal  waits in the front yard and waits to feel or smell her car. I don’t know how she can tell the difference, because the other neighbors’ cars pull up and she doesn’t care. She then smells her dad’s car and freaks out. It’s very sweet!”

Every day when her father is about to arrive, Opal starts barking and wagging her tail non-stop, despite being blind and deaf. Her reaction has delighted thousands of people who have seen the video.

Wolves and hybrids lend themselves well to training, but there will not be 100% obedience. This is not a human-centered animal and when making a decision is guided only by himself, unlike working dogs.

Was it difficult to teach you your orders? Not once did he do everything on the fly. But on the street with irritants and in the presence of puppies it is already much more difficult: to choose between a tasty delicacy from my hands, to execute an absolutely uninteresting order for her, and to play with a puppy, Kira, of course, will choose the latter.

Dog owners will say: then it is necessary to educate so that it does not stretch, does not tear.

Well, how would I educate? The success of the breeding depends entirely on the amount of repetition of the command. I often go with her in public places, talking rudely, causing situations where she sticks bananas in her ears, she doesn’t hear or see me, because it’s by creating those situations with my behavior control that she will eventually learn to behave like that, how I would like it to behave, not tear, not pull on the leash, etc.

To be honest, there is nothing supernatural in the video for me, it’s just a base, I don’t know how other Wolf and hybrid owners raise their pets. They probably don’t need it, because 99% of wolf animals live in private homes, and Kira and I are in the city, between people, cars and dogs.

Kira’s potential is huge, she’s very smart, but me:

• I don’t make it my goal to train her as a creature to follow orders.

• For this you need to train the animal 24/7 for the first year, and I like harmonious coexistence with her.

Despite the challenges her owner has faced, Kira lives happily with her family, is fully housebroken and poses no problem.

This time we present Cheif, a beautiful dog of the chow chow breed whose fur is like an oreo cookie.

On Instagram it is known as Oreo Cloud which in Spanish means “oreo cloud” . That nickname so in keeping with her fur was given to her by her owner Sara Hamilton, when she saw it she imagined an oreo McFlurry ice cream . Since I came into his life everything has changed, he is very funny and flirtatious.

“He came to us from Omaha, Nebraska, which is about a 1,700-mile (2,700-kilometer) drive to Northern California. We are a newlywed couple and we felt this was a great time to raise our little family. He also has a chameleon brother . ” Their owners comment.

When a baby comes into our lives we feel like the luckiest and happiest person in the world, and that also happens with animals. For example, a mother lioness nurses all her cubs regardless of whether they are hers. A mother leopard hides her cubs in different dens to protect them from predators.

A mother’s love for her children is truly unique and extraordinary. But many times life in the animal kingdom can be very cruel and sad. Sometimes a mother can lose all her puppies and go on with her life. But that was not what happened to Pepper, a dog who lives with her family in Minnesota, United States.

Pepper had serious complications in childbirth and unfortunately all the beautiful puppies that came into this world lost their lives. His owners commented that Pepper was very sad for that loss. It was obvious that she was depressed, because of the disappointment of not having been able to be a mother.

But what this disconsolate dog did not expect is that near her state some puppies suffered a situation that could give Pepper the opportunity to be a mother.

An animal shelter reported that a litter of puppies had a very difficult birth and the mother was unable to survive. The puppies were born very healthy. And although it is very likely that they could survive without a mother, the owners began to look for a mother who could take care of them and nurse them.

They began to take turns so that the puppies could have food 24 hours a day. And although they could continue working like this with them, they knew that the best thing was to look for a surrogate mother.

Up to this point we already had two very unfortunate stories, but that was about to change. The hope of being able to have a family was closer than ever. Shelter staff did their best to find a foster mother, and then they met Pepper.

“When she got to our house, we took her to the puppy room, and she immediately sat down next to the litter. I started to arrange the puppies around her, and she lay down. And the pups instinctively limped towards her and started nursing ,” said Lexi Johnson, the foster mom and volunteer with Ruff Start Rescue.

Pepper ended up having a family that she can feed and watch grow.

“All the babies were thriving with their humans, but the best place for them is with a mom who can not only give them a good milk, but also teach them dog things, behaviors that we as humans can’t.”

The puppies and their new mother are doing very well. And it is hoped that soon everyone will be able to find a new home.
