As temperatures are on the rise in the northern hemisphere, they’re doing just the opposite in the southern hemisphere.  That’s why a bus station in Brazil has set up nice, comfy beds for the street dogs who come there to warm up.

Max, Pitoco, and Zoinho have things a little better than most street dogs – they are cared for by staff members at a Barreirinha bus terminal in Curitiba.  They are given food and water and beds made from repurposed tires.

Dog lover and rescuer Fabiane Rosa noticed the sweet arrangement and the looks of contentment on the dogs’ faces and posted about them on Facebook.

“I do not tire of praising the Neusa dos Santos and other volunteers who provide these angels with a warm bed in the cold, food every day, fresh water, security,” she said.

She encouraged people to speak out against animal abuse and the abandonment of dogs in Brazil.

“You may be the only hope of these silent suffering angels. These communal dogs have a much more dignified life than some who are victims of maltreatment and neglect, hidden behind the walls,” Rosa advocated.  “And that people understand, this world is not the privilege of humans, God created animals to teach us to love without conditions.”

We animal lovers have seen dozens of videos with dogs who are so terrified of people that their harrowing rescues are utterly heart-rending.  But this one is all joy – this lil mama is clearly relieved, and trotted right over to her rescuers as if to say, “Thank you!  Let’s get outta here!”

Not everyone is able to take in dogs off the street, but this nice lady did what she could to help make Spring comfortable when she showed up and had puppies under her porch.  She fed her and put out blankets and a cardboard box to shelter them, and then called Hope for Paws after just having seen a story about them on the news a few days prior.

When the team arrived, they couldn’t believe how friendly and sweet Spring was – most of the dogs they save are traumatized from abuse and life on the street.  It’s likely that Spring had once been someone’s dog, and could remember having a cushier home life – she couldn’t wait to get out of there.  This was one of Hope for Paws’ easiest and quickest rescues ever!

Spring didn’t look a bit worried about rescuers taking her puppies from her; she seemed to sense that all was well, and that her puppies were in good hands.  It’s so refreshing to see a dog whose faith in people has not been sullied.

She was such a good girl during her bath, and must have really enjoyed feeling clean again.  In a few weeks, she and the puppies will be ready to find homes.  Contact Hope for Paws if you would like to adopt any of their rescues.

I guess you have to be careful when you’re trying to sing karaoke and there are animals around.

A woman named Cali Gorsuch learned that lesson when her dog Leo joined her for a karaoke session and beat his human to the punch, stepped on her toes, and ruined her big moment.

A woman named Patty Robinson rescued a squirrel she named Bunk and her goal was to eventually release him back into the wild…but Bunk had other plans.

Despite trying to release him on a few occasions, Bunk made it clear he wanted to stay with Robinson. So she decided to build him an indoor treehouse.

Robinson said,

“Being an artist and a builder, I said all right if you can’t be in the trees I’m going to make him a tree. I built him a treehouse all interlocked with his favorite kinds of wood. He’s got the biggest room in the house, eight sliding glass windows, and cathedral ceilings. He can run around the entire room without touching the floor safely because he’s on all his little ramps.”

Every property has its own unique quirks but sometimes you can really get surprised when you buy a house.

And that’s exactly what happened to a couple named Emily Bott and Dylan Loewke when they purchased a farmhouse in Victor, New York.

The realtor who sold Bott and Loewke the “Freedom Farmhouse” let them know that there were some barn cats living on the property…and that number turned out to be 16.

Instead of being turned off by the prospect of so many cats wandering around the property, the couple embraced their new feline friends and they decided to create a room for them in an outdoor storage room.

Bott said, It wasn’t anything that we were really using, so I was like you know what? Maybe we should create a cat room for these cats. it just slowly snowballed from there.”

Bott had previously worked as a rescue and foster coordinator at the Lollypop Farm at the Humane Society in Rochester, New York said that they were overwhelmed by the huge number of cats when they first moved in but now they see them as part of the family.

A news reporter recently went to an animal shelter to do a story for his magazine, but little did he know that he would get swept up in a sweet story and was about to find a new family member.

The reporter was walking around the shelter when a very special dog approached him. While many of the shelter dogs were watching him out of curiosity, this one walked up to him without any fear or shyness. The dog surprised everyone by hugging the reporter and showering him with all of her affection.

At first, the reporter was confused by the dog’s actions, but her hug was so heartfelt that he happily hugged her and encouraged her behavior.

He gently petted the dog and rewarded her with cuddles, causing her to cling to him more. The dog clung onto his leg tightly, hugged him, and didn’t let him go. It is clear that the poor pup is tired of being at the shelter alone, so she loves to be hugged and cuddled by someone.

People standing nearby couldn’t resist the heartwarming interaction between the journalist and the dog, so they began recording it. The short video clip posted to Reddit and quickly went viral.

Redditor NeniuDormo, who posted the video clip, described it as follows: “Covering a story at an animal shelter, a journalist was grabbed by this dog and wouldn’t let go.”

In this video clip, the dog is seen standing up on his back legs and curling up to the man. It seemed like the pup had found her soulmate, so she refused to let go of the reporter.

The sweet dog captured the reporter’s heart, so he decided to adopt her and gave her a loving forever home. We are happy to know that the dog now lives happily with her owner who she loves so much.

Nothing is quite as cute and sweet as inter-species friendships. That’s the reason why we would like to show you a video of an adorable dolphin saying “hello” to two friendly dogs. Despite being different species, these cute animals don’t let anything stop them from making friends.

The two adorable pups named Miles and Stanley now live a happy life with their mom, Magen Peigelbeck. One day, they were out enjoying a day of boating in a river near the Isle of Hope Marina on the Georgia coast when a friendly local swung by to greet them and say hello! It was a wild dolphin — and he seemed to want to make the pups’ acquaintance.

Although there were many people on the boat, the dolphin only paid attention to Miles and Stanley. He swam toward the dogs and kept popping up out of the water to get their attention and say hello. The curious dogs have never seen a dolphin before, so when seeing it, they barked for a while.

“I was in awe,” Peigelbeck said. “I knew it was a special moment.”

The interaction went on for a short time, but thankfully Peigelbeck managed to capture the sweet moment on camera and shared it on social media. It’s not surprising that the video has gone insanely viral everywhere – from Twitter to Facebook to Instagram.

The dolphin didn’t seem to care much about Peigelbeck, but fortunately she wasn’t too hurt and even felt happy. “The dolphin was having a great time, there to see the dogs, clearly. [He] had no interest in me!” she said.

Peigelbeck and her dogs have been boating a few times since then, but have yet to meet that dolphin again. “We have been out on the water for years and never experienced something like this.” Peigelbeck said. “Very special.”

Thanks to a loving family and a dog with a big and warm heart, an abandoned kitten found her new home, where she will receive all the love and care that she deserves.

The poor kitty was found all alone by the side of the road, weak and emaciated. She was obviously rejected by her mother and had a slim chance of survival on her own. Luckily, the family found her and gave her a second chance in life.

Without hesitation, the family brought the kitten home and named her Ichimi. However, on the way home, they were worried about their Golden Retriever dog, Ponzu.

The family has fostered many homeless kittens, so Ponzu has a chance to foster little kittens and seems to love them so much. Sadly, Ponzu had to say goodbye to his previous foster kittens after they found new forever homes.

After all everything happened, they wondered whether Ponzu would accept the new kitten Itchy. But fortunately, what happened when the two animals met each other melted their hearts. The moment when Ichimi showed up in the house, Ponzu instantly fell in love and started caring for her.

“The two instantly bonded and now Ponzu is very protective of his little kitten and refuses to let her out of his sight.” They are so bonded that they do everything together. What a sweet and strong bond!

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is never easy. The story of Dale Thompson took its stance to be one of the heartbreaking farewells spreading social media. This Toronto citizen was uttering a valediction to his 14-year golden retriever – Murphy – in big cries.

Murphy had been battling with cancer that was all over his nose and throat. The last thing Thompson could do was to keep his dog happy until his last breath.

The dog was taking his last walk to the vet, puffing out his breath on the way. Murphy was finally at peace in the sorrow of his man.

Written in his longer post on Medium, Thompson related memories when Murphy came to him and how they spent time in those 14 years, wetting people’s eyes by expressing how Murphy was meant to him. He said he would suffer cancer for Murphy, but the man can do no more than he can. He could only wish to see his dog on the other side.

When Thompson had himself crying hopelessly, it was Murphy who tried to get up and comforting his human as if he was saying he’d be there forever with Thompson. In the saddest grieve, Murphy left but his moments with Thompson stay. The owner affirmed that he would keep Murphy’s tag by his side to be close to him until the day he can unite with his lifetime companion.

Swimmers Syndrome, also known as Flat-puppy Syndrome or Swimmer Puppy Syndrome is a rare condition in which the limbs of newborn dogs and cats are always splayed to the sides miserably. Animals born with Swimmers Syndrome of course can’t stand or walk, all they could do is just lying helplessly on their stomach. This birth defect is uncommon, but unfortunately, a Boston terrier named Mick is one of its victims.

Being unable to walk is just a part of the situation. Most animals with Swimmers Syndrome have a flattened chest, resulting in countless other health problems. Some even cannot live long.

The syndrome itself is brutal, but it’s not the end of the road. There’s still a chance if we pay attention to the occurrence soon enough and take full advantage of physical therapy properly.

So right after the breeders in Oklahoma found out something was wrong with Mick, they called the Mia Foundation in Rochester, New York – an organization specialized in helping animals born with birth defects like the poor terrier.

With the help of the Mia Foundation, the six-week-old pup underwent intense physical therapy for a few weeks. It took a lot of patience and love. He went through a total of four sessions per day, fifteen minutes each.

Luckily, the result was optimistic. Mick gradually learned to sit and stand, and then, finally, walk. The first steps were weak and awkward, but it was a miracle. He was stronger, he was more confident, and of course, he was happier.

After a few years passed by, Mick is so much different now. Looking at Mick at the moment, nobody could realize he was once a dog with such a horrible condition. He’s always joyful and energetic, and he loves running and playing.

Mick even owns his own Facebook page where he can share his lively moments with everyone else. Here’s one of them:
