13-year-old Boo was a dog who was having a very bad day when he went for a walk on an icy pond and ended up falling through.

The canine senior was struggling in the freezing water, but he managed to let out a cry for help.

And the brave men from a Delaware fire department were thankfully able to pull him out and get him to safety.

After his icy ordeal, Boo was immediately rushed to the vet. While there, this lucky dog was given a clean bill of health, much to the relief of his family.

There is no doubt that his family is going to be extra vigilant next time that Boo is out by the pond.

However, given his ordeal, we wouldn’t be surprised if it takes Boo a while to work up his courage to get close to the pond again.
